Space to be Heard – Space to Hear – Space to Listen –
Listening Space
How many of us make space to listen? To each other? To
ourselves? To the Spirit?
Listening Space is an invitation to each of us to seek to hear.
Through Listening Space Betsy Gonwa provides Spiritual Direction, Grief Support, and Music for the Journey.
There are many ways to be present and to listen. In nature, to each other, to music, to sacred scripture and other inspired readings, to our bodies’ physical sensations and emotions, to the events and thoughts and feelings that come up in everyday life. In every case, listening opens up a space within, a space to connect with what is real, with the present moment.
Listening creates space. And, in the listening, the space
becomes sacred.
Do you desire connection? Are you feeling stuck? Are you challenged to be your authentic self?
What is your heart’s
desire?
Whatever your desire, the answer lies within. Spiritual direction can help you to listen to the voice of the Spirit speaking in the depths of your being.
Are you struggling to make sense
of a loss, or even of a recent transition or change?
Are you experiencing anticipatory
grief as you look ahead to what is coming up next in your life?
Are you in need of someone to
listen to you talk about your loss?
A grief companion can provide a
safe place for you to process your grief.
Sometimes we seek the Spirit and other times we are found. The songs on the Music for the Journey page are inspired by such encounters. Perhaps one of Betsy’s compositions can open up a space and help you to connect with what is real in you.
